We chose to publish this photo because it comes close to showing our ideal of the perfect English Setter head. "Michelle" was from the remarkable "Holiday" litter and lived at home with her brother "Spirit". She added another strong link to the Seafield bitch line.

Spirit's grandfather, "Major of Meadowset", was an inbred, double-up son of Ch. Sir Kip of Manitou. We bred to "Ruffin" on that basis, and the combination clicked. Spirit went Best in Sweeps and WD at the Hudson ES Specialty and two brothers won the points at Brandywine and Atlanta, finishing the same year. The "Holiday" litter was remarkable and Spirit's offspring clearly carry his influence.
